Marybeth Sullivan
Marketing & Outreach Coordinator
How would you describe your approach to communicating with clients, family members, and loved ones?
I am all about developing authentic relationships in my role as outreach coordinator so for me, consistent, open communication is essential. I want fellow providers and the community to know that I am here to be their connection to our services and to represent the team at Nutritious Thoughts in a way to reflects their values and goals. When it come to our clients, being open and approachable is extremely important as some may be highly motivated to do the work we are doing with them, but many others are feeling vulnerable and even afraid of that work. I want every contact I have with them to feel safe and helpful.
What makes you feel passionate about being a part of Nutritious Thoughts?
Oh wow, so much I could say about that! I would have to say that having lived experience with an eating disorder, the opportunity to work with this team is one of the most rewarding things I could do. My passion lies with helping others find peace with their health and their bodies, and Nutritious Thoughts does just that.
If you were to have any other profession other than Marketing and Outreach Coordinator, what would it be and why?
Recovery coaching….which I actually get to do when I’m not doing outreach for this amazing team. I got my certification through the Carolyn Costin Institute for Eating Disorder Recovery Coaching last year, and it’s such a gift to be able to walk with clients through their journey to being recovered! I can say that doing marketing for Nutritious Thoughts and doing my coaching gives me the very best of both worlds; I am so grateful!
Where can we find you when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, my favorite place to be is with my family and friends… preferably outdoors! I love to do most anything that involves being outside: Going for a bike ride with my husband, hiking with my daughter or friends, listening to my son DJ at a festival, hanging out with our kitties…these are some of my favorites.
